We are fast approaching high season when courses should be at their best and prices at their highest but the long hot summer has taken a toll on the courses in the region making the course managers job more difficult than normal.
Here is just a brief summary of the condition of some courses:
Campoamor
Due to on-going issues following the Autumn hollow tining programme they have extended the maintence period but the greens should be fully open by 2nd October 2023.
Mar Menor
Due to problems with contamination of the greens by bad water the re-opening of the back 9 holes has been put back to November but as yet no firm date has been determined and the front 9 holes are still available.
La Serena
There have been reports of unusually long and difficult roough on the course,espcially close to greens and bunkers never seen on the course before which is extremely difficult for players to play from.
La Manga
In line with on-going developments they have re-furbishing buggy paths and purchasing a new fleet of buggies which should be available before the end of the year.
They have also reported the start of a free shuttle service for hotel residents (only) to the West Course.
Finally until the 31st October 2023 they are offering a 10% discount off greenfee prices and 15% disount off rentals.
