The next rising star?

The next rising star?

Here on the Costa Blanca we are blessed with a number of professional golfers who ply their trade on the worlds golf tours, namely Bradley Dredge from La Finca who has been as high as no 50 in the world and a member of the European Tour,Jordan Gibb and Pearse McMurray from Vistabella who have played on the Challenge and Euro-pro tours respectively.

Now there could be a new rising star on the horizon in the form of Craig Ross who along with his father Stuart play golf when in Spain with the Spanglish and Marabu Golf Societies and who turned professional earlier in 2018 and is now playing his golf on the Europro tour.

In 2017 Craig won the French and South African amatuer titles ,represented Scotland as an amatuer and would have played in the Walker cup this year against the USA.

Still in his early twenties Crain won a Europro tour event at Mar Hall as an amatuer in 2014 but on Friday 13th July 2018 he won the €10000 first prize and his maiden professional win at Moor Allerton.

Craig has made 6 of 7 cuts in his first year and currently sits in 3rd place in the order of merit with the top 5 automatically qualifying for next years Challenge tour.

Keep an eye out for this new rsing star and remember that you read it here first.
