‘Around and About the Courses – Las Colinas’
Las Colinas Golf & Country Club is generally regarded by both residents and visitors alike to be the best golf course in the region.
From the moment that you take the winding drive to the course to be greeted by the fabulous clubhouse you know you are in for something special and what they promote as “ a world apart”.
Earlier this year Las Colinas was voted as Spain’s best Villa Resort in the World Golf Awards.
Only last week the course hosted the 2nd stage qualifying tournament for the European Tour and Phillip Mejow (Germany) cruised to a final round score of 66 with an overall winning score of -17 under par.
While this event was under way the World Golf Wards ceremony was being held in Portugal and I am delighted to report that Las Colinas was voted as the ‘Best Golf Course in Spain’
The World Golf Awards are considered one of the most prestigious accolades in the golf industry,as they recognize and reward excellence of club amenities and services.
This is not only a wonderful achievement for Las Colinas but is good for the Costa Blanca golf industry and increases our standing and a golf tourist ‘hot spot’ for coming years.
Hopefully the owners and managers of Las Colinas will continue to reward the local golfing residents for their support in winning this award with continued and affordable green fee prices.
