The Alphabet of Golf
Last week we took a jovial look at the game of golf by creating the alphabet of golf looking at letters A to M and today we continue with letters N-Z:
| N | Not sign-posted (refers to nearly all golf courses in Spain) |
| O | Out of Bounds (most often used by the poor golfer) |
| P | Penalty Shot (usually the result of an errant shot and misunderstood by many) |
| Q | Quandary (the state of a golfers mind after a golf lesson) |
| R | Rules of Golf (these can be used to your advantage if understood) |
| S | Society Secretary (unpaid, overworked and often verbally abused) |
| T | Trees (apparently they are 86% air you know) |
| U | Unusual (a cheating golfer who can count) |
| V | Victory (usually the domain of the more consistent golfers) |
| W | Walkers (the most rare of golfers as nearly all players want a ride in a buggy) |
| X | Xtreme (the language used by most male golfers on the golf course) |
| Y | Yips ( a putting affliction usually affecting better players only) |
| Z | Zombie (the state of the tourist golfer the day after a heavy drinking session) |
