Corvera Golf Resort – FINAL Update

‘Corvera Golf Resort – Final Update’

Unfortunately a few weeks ago it was necessary to inform you of the problems being faced by Corvera Golf Resort in respect of financial controls and limitations imposed upon them by the Spanish Tax Authorities and as a result the courses and in particular the greens had not been watered for 12 days. I have made repeated attempts via landline, mobile and e-mail to contact the caddy master office but without response. From my previous experiences with both La Tercia and Mosa Trajectum it appears to be the Spanish way for the owners to stick their heads in the sand and run a business into the ground and simply ‘shut-up shop’ without making a formal announcement to either the public or the agents and tour operators representing them and who are the people faced with answering the questions from the concerned and paying public. Agents and Tour Operators have to sign formal contracts and agreements with golf courses which include the need to represent the courses in a professional and ethical manner. It would appear that for those courses that have closed the opposite doesn’t appear to apply as the owners and bosses ‘disappeared into the sunset’ without notification to cease trading. We can safely assume that Corvera is now closed.
