This BLOG seems to have been a long time coming but finally some good news about Hacienda Del Alamo after previous updates about the poor condition of the golf course due to lack of water on the fairways and greens.
They now have full approval to renew the irrigation system on the whole course and will start the works on Monday 7th October 2024 and as you will all know this is a vital maintenance on the golf course and will bring the course back to its former condition once completed and recovered.
The plan is as follows:-
Monday 7th October 2024 ,they will close the second nine holes (10-18) until the end of the year 2024. The 1st 9 holes will be playable but as before are not in the best conditions, greens are still good, but fairways are very, very dry.
In January 2025 they will re-open the second 9 holes and close the 1st 9 holes, meaning again that 9 holes will be playable during the full process.
By the end of Febuary 2025 or early March 2025 they will have completed the works to the Golf Course and as soon as the temperatures are good, the grass will recover.
On a practical note for reservations they have had to block some tee times to allow the crossover for the players playing 9 holes twice to complete 18 holes and they will apply the same process that they used at Mar Menor,when they had similar problems and it worked well.
Hacienda Del Alamo apologize for any inconvenience this overall problem with the course condition may have caused clients and members.
They hope that by this time next year they will have a golf course that will be worth playing again, and with the constant water supplies that they have now agreed upon, will only continue to improve over the years.
During this time there will be a special price from agents such as Costa Blanca Green Fee Services or GolfenAlicante Leisure SL should any clients wish to play the course.
The green fee price will be circa €30 each
The other two courses in their group ,Mar Menor and Saurines, are in great shape at the moment, Saurines especially is in the best condition seen it in since it opened and again can be booked through Costa Blanca Green Fee Services or GolfenAlicante Leisure SL.
