We have all lived through a torrid year the like of which has not been seen for 100 years due to the Covid-19 virus and the uncertainty of Brexit so I thought it may be the time for some tongue in cheek humour.

With Christmas Day quickly looming I have given some consideration to what would be the ideal Christmas present for some of the worlds best players and came up with the following:

  1. Lee Westwood – A Major.

  2. Rory McIlroy – His old confidence and putting stroke.

  3. Patrick Reed – A copy of the rules of golf.

  4. Tyrell Hatton – Some patience and calm.

  5. Bryson Dechambeau – a side strain and character transplant.

  6. Tiger Woods – Better Health.

  7. Peter Alliss – A posthumous knighthood.

  8. Sergio Garcia – Anger management course.

  9. Bernhard Langer – A win on the regular tour.

  10. Jon Rahm – First Major Win.

  11. Tommy Fleetwood – a new barber or hairdresser.

  12. Dustin Johnson – A reduced major winning appetite.

  13. Matthew Wolf – A snake wrestling contract.

  14. Justin Rose – A few extra yards with the driver.

  15. Luke Donald – A lot more yards with a driver.

  16. Matt Kuchar – Membership of the Caddies Union.

  17. Henrik Stenson – A new 3 wood.

  18. Jordan Speith – A place in the world top 50.

  19. Phil Mikkelsen – A Seniors pension.

  20. European Team – The Ryder Cup

Don’t take any of the above too seriously it is all just a bit of fun and perhaps you have a few Christmas present ideas for the world’s greats yourself.

Thanks to all our regular readers and have the best Christmas possible given the circumstances and all the best for a much improved 2021.
