Fiesta of golf at Roda<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Roda will hold their\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>LA FIESTA DEL GOLF <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>for the 5th consecutive year <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>which will take place from <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Monday 1<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>st<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/sup><\/span> to Sunday 7<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>th<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/sup><\/span> August 2016.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Roda Golf & Beach Resort Fiestas started four years ago as an initiative of the Roda Golf Course Members. The original idea was to organize a <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>fiesta<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> were members and house owners of Roda of all nationalities could get together and organize different activities such as golf, paddle, tennis, karaoke, face painting, jumping bag races for kids, etc. The success was such that friends of friends came (around 5500 people last year) and this has now been \u201cdeclared officially\u201d the Fiestas of the Resort. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This year, with the aim of bringing even more people to the resort, they want to offer the possibility to play 18 holes at Roda Golf Course for only \u20ac30 at any time during this week. Buggies are at their usual low season rate of 12\u20ac. This means \u20ac36<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> per person shared buggy included<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> or \u20ac42<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> for 1 x Green Fee &buggy<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

However the festive spirit does not finish there as they will be holding clinics (aimed to beginners) for both adults and juniors for only \u20ac5.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They will also do a <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Speed Golf tournament<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> (1 hole) on Monday 1<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>st<\/span><\/span><\/sup><\/span> August 2016. This will be one of the most fun moments of the Fiestas program. The entry for this tournament is <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>FREE<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> but everybody is welcome to come and watch.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday 2<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>nd<\/span><\/span><\/sup><\/span> August 2016 they will hold a <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Footgolf<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> tournament which is a 9 hole event in pairs where competitors play golf with their feet and a football and again entry is <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>FREE.<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On Wednesday 3<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>rd<\/span><\/span><\/sup><\/span> August 2016 they will hold the amusing <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Friends Cup<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> which is a 9 hole tournament with each team comprising an RFEG player and a non player with the non golfer doing all the putting only.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The highlight of the Fiesta del Golf will be the 3rd running of the charity tournament \u201cFood Aim\u201d where the registration fee would be \u20ac30 + a compulsory donation of a minimum of three non-perishable foods such as: packages of rice, pasta, flour, canned food, oil, sugar, etc. All foods will be given\u00a0 to C\u00e1ritas San Javier.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> This tournament will be open to federated and non-federated players and last year 170 players took part in the event.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
