Country Club is generally regarded by both residents and visitors alike to be the best golf course in the region.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">From the moment that you take the winding drive to the course to be greeted by the fabulous clubhouse you know you are in for something special and what they promote as \u201c a world apart\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Earlier this year Las Colinas was voted as Spain&#8217;s best Villa Resort in the World Golf Awards.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Only last week the course hosted the 2<sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">nd<\/span><\/sup> stage qualifying tournament for the European Tour and Phillip Mejow (Germany) cruised to a final round score of 66 with an overall winning score of -17 under par.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">While this event was under way the World Golf Wards ceremony was being held in Portugal and I am delighted to report that Las Colinas was voted as the &#8216;Best Golf Course in Spain&#8217;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The World Golf Awards are considered one of the most prestigious accolades in the golf industry,as they recognize and reward excellence of club amenities and services.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This is not only a wonderful achievement for Las Colinas but is good for the Costa Blanca golf industry and increases our standing and a golf tourist &#8216;hot spot&#8217;
