{"id":274,"date":"2015-06-19T09:23:27","date_gmt":"2015-06-19T07:23:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.costa-blanca-greenfees.com\/golf-blog\/?p=274"},"modified":"2015-06-19T09:23:27","modified_gmt":"2015-06-19T07:23:27","slug":"around-and-about-the-golf-courses-alicante","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.costa-blanca-greenfees.com\/golf-blog\/around-and-about-the-golf-courses-alicante\/","title":{"rendered":"Around and About the Golf Courses &#8211; Alicante"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong><span style=\"color: #004586;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u2018<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Around and About the courses &#8211; ALICANTE \u2019<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">This Seve Ballesteros designed course of 6,333 metres is on the outskirts of Alicante City and close to the San Juan beaches and was opened in 1998 and is unique because the course is a Par 72 consisting of six par 3 holes, six Par 4 holes and six Par 5 holes.On the Par 5 14<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"> hole you actually play over \u2018Roman ruins\u2019 and the lake on the 9<\/span><sup><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">th<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"> hole is in the shape of an \u2018S\u2019 for Seve.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The large split level clubhouse has excellent restaurant (which is currently closed for renovation) changing and shower facilities and well stocked pro-shop with welcoming and helpful staff.The practise facilities are excellent with a 70 bay driving range, practise bunkers and chipping and putting greens.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The course is relatively flat winding between houses and apartments in a typically American style but with some long distances between greens and tees this is not a course for the walking golfers amongst you, hence the inclusion of the buggy in the standard price.
