High Season is here!
Over the last few weeks I have made you aware via this golf column of the arrival of the ‘high season’ period for golf prices, well as they used to say in Dads Army,” we are all doomed” and “they don’t like it up em”, because the high season period will be here in full force as from 1st October 2014.The difference between high and low season periods can be up to €20 per person on some courses. Don’t be under the false illusion that these courses will be empty as a result because already courses such as La Finca and Las Colinas are almost bursting at the seams for the month of October. This is very much a financial balancing act for golfers because in the summer when the golf prices are at their lowest, the flight and accommodation costs are at their highest and in the autumn months the golf prices are at their highest but accommodation and flight costs are considerably less expensive. Add to this the fact that the exchange rate once again makes a golf holiday in Spain even more affordable you can see why the courses will be busy. As you know from previous years we will always be able to find you some cheaper discounted golf during the months of October and November but invariably this will mean travelling further for your much loved game of cheap golf.
