We have all lived through a torrid year the like of which has not been seen for 100 years due to the Covid-19 virus and the uncertainty of Brexit so I thought it may be the time for some tongue in cheek humour.
With Christmas Day quickly looming I have given some consideration to what would be the ideal Christmas present for some of the worlds best players and came up with the following:
- Lee Westwood – A Major.
- Rory McIlroy – His old confidence and putting stroke.
- Patrick Reed – A copy of the rules of golf.
- Tyrell Hatton – Some patience and calm.
- Bryson Dechambeau – a side strain and character transplant.
- Tiger Woods – Better Health.
- Peter Alliss – A posthumous knighthood.
- Sergio Garcia – Anger management course.
- Bernhard Langer – A win on the regular tour.
- Jon Rahm – First Major Win.
- Tommy Fleetwood – a new barber or hairdresser.
- Dustin Johnson – A reduced major winning appetite.
- Matthew Wolf – A snake wrestling contract.
- Justin Rose – A few extra yards with the driver.
- Luke Donald – A lot more yards with a driver.
- Matt Kuchar – Membership of the Caddies Union.
- Henrik Stenson – A new 3 wood.
- Jordan Speith – A place in the world top 50.
- Phil Mikkelsen – A Seniors pension.
- European Team – The Ryder Cup
Don’t take any of the above too seriously it is all just a bit of fun and perhaps you have a few Christmas present ideas for the world’s greats yourself.
Thanks to all our regular readers and have the best Christmas possible given the circumstances and all the best for a much improved 2021.
