Around and About the Golf Courses

Periodically we keep our readers informed of things taking place at our local golf courses and below is a brief summary of these current activities:

La Peraleja closed three years ago and there have been rumours that an offer had been made for the golf course, clubhouse and some land but as yet nothing has developed in this respect but we will keep you informed of any developments.

Mosa Trajectum closed even earlier and was probably the hardest course to play in this area when it opened to the public in 2005.Before it closed there were plans for an oil industry business to purchase the golf courses but this never materialised BUT I have been informed that there is work currently taking place on the golf courses and again will keep you informed of any developments.

Campoamor have for many years had repeated problems with their greens due to the ingress of other grasses and they have now decided to work on all the greens from the 5th August to 15th October 2019 and effectively the course will be closed for this period however from 1st September to 15th October holes 10 to 18 will have temporary greens which will be flags on the fairway.

La Marquesa have decided to re-structure the greens on the 10th and 13th holes and this work will take place between the 13th May and 31st August 2019 but in preparation they have re-laid two good temporary greens which will result in limited disruption to the golfers round.
