Around and About the Courses – Latest News’

Here is just a taster of local news for some of the courses in our region.

New Sierra Golf

After being closed for 4 years the course has now re-opened and while still a 9 hole layout the high season prices are attractive and with a fleet of 45 buggies can accept golf society bookings.

La Peraleja

The course closed just prior to the New Year and attempts are being made to find a buyer and in the meanwhile they continue to water and maintain the greens only and we will provide further information when known.

El Valle

They suffered a huge electrical fire which wiped out all the buggies and electric trolley’s and while no damage occurred to other property there has been a delay in receiving the new batch of buggies which has impacted on some March bookings and this could continue for a few weeks yet to come.

Alicante

After the ‘Gota Fria’ last week parts of the course were totally submerged and it has been necessary for them to close the course and ‘pump’ the excess water from the course but they hope to re-open the course from 19/03/17.

Altorreal

Anyone that has visited the course in the last few years since the purchase by new owners can see that excellent work that has been done on the course and this will continue through 2017 including changes to the academy and buggy paths.

Vistabella

Diego Garcia has been the well known and friendly face at Vistabella for many years but he has decided to return to his previous role as a commercial tutor and we wish him well in the future.
